In operation, the bottle is loaded and positioned in a fixture that holds it steady during welding, where heat or ultrasonic energy joins the required components (such as a vent-cap boss or neck fitting) with a leak-tight, burr-free weld. The cap-screwing head then applies a controlled, repeatable torque to seat the cap to the correct tightness — tight enough to maintain sterility and prevent leakage, but not so tight that it damages the cap or bottle neck threads. Torque and weld parameters can be stored as recipes for different bottle sizes and cap types.
Because it is a single-station design, cycle time is generally lower than a multi-station rotary line, making this configuration a good fit for manufacturers prioritizing flexibility and quick product change-over over maximum throughput.
